Spring garden project begins

Spring is on the way and that means it's time to get back into the garden. Our award-winning garden project is starting up again, and the children are already excited about what we'll be growing this year.

This term, we're planning to plant a mix of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The children will be involved in every stage — from preparing the soil and planting seeds to watering, watching things grow, and eventually harvesting what they've grown.

What makes our garden project special is that the food we grow ends up in our kitchen. The children see the full journey from seed to plate, and many of the ingredients feature in our Cooking with Noreen sessions.

We're also running community planting sessions through our Growing with Sarah programme, where parents and carers can get involved. If you'd like to join in, have a word with the team or check the noticeboard for dates.
